Free Spyware

Spyware is a spybot protector and will stop your computer from being infected and make your pc crash or even slow down to a sudden freeze.

What is Spyware spybot?

This is a big question that many people ask and how does it affect the registry of the computer it installs itself on? Any software that secretly assimilates information about the computer it is installed on and uses the Internet connection of the computer to transmit this information to it's host computer is Spyware. Spyware usually downloads itself onto a computer through the Internet along with some other download that the user chooses. This is intentionally coded into the download for malicious purposes. The Spyware installs itself on the computer and runs in the back ground with the operator knowing it. Usually the only indication of Spyware on the computer is through free Spyware removal programs.

What does Spyware Spybot do?

Apart from slowing the system, as mentioned earlier Spyware programs are typically bundled into a program that is available as free ware and are hidden components in the downloaded program. Once the download is complete the Spyware installs itself onto the users computer and begins to monitor all the activities of the user. These can include recording the user name and passwords that the user uses or the kind of sites that the user likes to visit. Spyware always works in the background of the system and so it slows down a computer a great deal. Especially if the resources of the computer are low such as the RAM or disk space. Anti Spyware components are sometimes built into registry cleaners such as the windows registry cleaner or the PC registry cleaner. These programs scan the registry for malicious Spyware as well as for broken links and redundant data. They then clean the registry of this data and leave the computer running more efficiently and fast.

Here are a few spyware spybot viruses to look for:

1. Antivirus:

Antivirus is necessary to protect your computer from damages by viruses, worms and trojans. Viruses and worms spread from one computer to another either through e-mails or from files downloaded from internet. Viruses and worms can destroy your files and erase data on your computer. So, to protect your data and your hard disk, you should always have updated antivirus program with the latest definition files.

2. Antispyware:

Antispyware protects your computer from spywares and intruders to protect your personal information. Spywares get installed on your computer without your consent or knowledge and take control of your computer, gather your personal data, information, web activities and web sites you visit and transmit that data to others.

3. Complete Spy Site Blocking:

Spyware distribution websites are the major source for spywares. Security software with complete spy site blocking feature can block these websites and also blocks you from visiting these sites by accident.

4. Identity theft protection:

Nowadays, identity theft is a major problem on internet. With increase in e-commerce, online buying and credit card usage on internet, protection against identity theft is crucial to protect your identity and personal information on your computer. So, identity theft protection is a must security tool while accessing the internet.

5. I would give you more but I think you get the idea that spyware can hurt your system so get your pc the protection today.

Registry Cleaners - Professional PC Repair Tools

Why you should let the experts fix problems on PCs

A few days ago I installed a software program on a notebook PC to be used by a colleague at work but to my surprise it generated an error as soon as it started up and refused to run properly. Now this was software that had been working happily on my system for weeks and when I installed it on 5 other PCs it ran quite happily on them too. So what was the problem?

The fact that this software would not work on this PC and one other we found later, was more than a surprise to me it was downright embarrassing. You see I'm a professional software engineer and this software was one of my creations. I get paid to write software and I had absolutely no idea what was wrong with this machine.

Don't assume that your PC problems are your fault

My first reaction was that it must be something that I had done wrong when developing the program so I started to look at my code. I spent a couple of days trying to solve the problem and got absolutely nowhere. This now added depression to my list of troubles but I was becoming more and more convinced that it wasn't my fault. I just had to persuade everyone else that this was the case.

PC software diagnostic and repair is expert work

The IT department at my client's site had also been looking into this problem for me and I'm glad they did. Eventually someone said, "I think I've seen this before". It was about a year earlier but the records were still in the IT database. It had been the result of some unrelated software installation a long time ago but this PC was scarred with it.

The Windows Registry was to blame

The problem turned out to be an error in the Windows Registry. There was a single entry that was left over from an earlier installation. We deleted the entry using Regedit and the problem with my software disappeared. What a relief that was.

Why am I telling you this story? It took 4 IT experts and myself, a software developer to find and fix this obscure but serious bug in the Windows operating system. The problem it was causing rendered 2 PCs that we found with the rogue Registry entry completely useless to us and yet the fix was so simple.

Let the experts maintain your Registry

The question is how can anyone expect to maintain their Windows system without an army of experts to call upon? It's silly little problems like this one that make your computer run slowly, generate errors and crash on you. Sometimes the only way to fix your PC is to reload Windows and lose all your work.

The solution to this problem is to use a Registry Cleaner built by experts. Find out how to use one in this article How Do I Use A Windows Registry Cleaner and Fixer. These are professional PC repair tools designed and developed by experts in the Windows operating system and Registry. With hindsight we should have used one to solve this problem but we had 5 experts on the case didn't we? Oh well you live and learn.

Tips to Follow in Spyware Removal

Depending on conditions, spyware removal can either be very effective or it can be a complete waste of time and resources. Here are some tips to make sure that your spyware removal can be done the right way:

1) Gather information – if you intend to go about spyware removal the right way, make sure that you have the right information to help you. You need to understand just how spyware works in order to learn how to properly eliminate it. How does gathering information help you?

a) Identifying the problem – by gathering information about the effects of certain spyware, you would be able to pinpoint exactly what is wrong in your system. This would help you go about the spyware removal more quickly.

Many people are confused when they experience problems with spyware in their system. In fact, some people would just choose to tolerate the various problems that they face with their software than take the effort to study the problem. However, by gathering information, you would be able to identify the problem you are facing faster, giving you more time to decide what to do about it.

b) Finding a solution – when you have enough information about the spyware, then you will have a better idea regarding how to eliminate it from your system. This is because gathering information about spyware also involves gathering information about how to properly get rid of it. This means that if you know enough about a certain type of spyware, you will also have the knowledge necessary for the Spyware Removal.

2) Get help – spyware removal is not a task that you should try to undertake on your own. This is especially true if you are not really experienced or trained in troubleshooting computers. Tinkering with your computers under these conditions could only cause more harm than good. When you find yourself confused and you do not know what to do, try to get some help.

A lot of help can be found on the internet. You may choose to try and contact a spyware removal company to help you with your problem. You could also choose to read some materials that could give you some pointers on how to go about spyware removal correctly. There is also the option of going to an online community and asking other people to help you with your spyware problem.

3) Maintain – people who manage to get rid of spyware often tendto feelprettyconfident about themselves. They tend to think that the process of spyware removal stops when the spyware infecting a computer system is removed. However, one should realize the fact that eliminating spyware does not stop at deletion. You must regularly check your system to make sure that no spyware gets in.

4) Read before you download – there are many people out there who think that the more tools you have, the better your internet surfing would be. However, you should realize that many "tools" offered for free download on the internet are actually packaged with spyware. This means that you should definitely be careful in downloading certain utilities like toolbars and the like.

These are just some of the tips you should keep in mind when going about spyware removal. By making sure that you follow these tips, you should be able to remove all types of spyware from your system without too much effort.

Tips For Choosing Backup Software

How in the world do you decide what type of computer backup software to use? There are many different types of software out there. Some of it will need to be purchased separately, but there are also programs that come bundled with the computer backup hardware that you will be using. While these are not always the best programs, they still get the job done - although without all the usual bells and whistles. They are also likely to be better than some of the programs that you get with external hard drives for example.

Of course, you do not need backup software in order to backup your computer. You can always just go into it with some CDRs or DVDs and manually choose exactly which files to save and which ones to leave behind. However, this can rapidly get tedious and it's easy to skip over or forget certain files or folders - that's the very last thing you want to happen in case of a hard drive failure.

There are many benefits to using a proper computer backup package and these are seriously worth considering.

First, automatic setup. The computer will set up the information for backup automatically. Therefore, all you have to do is make sure that there is a disc in the drive. Likewise, you can also split large files across several discs with ease and without constantly having to change configuration information in the backup software itself.

If you're worried about the confidentiality of your saved backups, you can also encrypt the information. This is especially important if you are going to be using any of the online backup options. You can also compress your data with a data backup program, in order to fit large amounts of data into a small backup space. Backup software will also allow you to choose exactly how much data you want to backup, and how long you are willing for it to take.

Do I have to buy software?

No. There are several programs that you can get for free – or that you already have for free with your new computer. For example, if you have a windows computer, you will have software called Microsoft Backup. This should be installed by default if you have Windows 2000, ME, or XP. You may also have this program available on your system discs if you have a computer that runs Windows 95 or 98.

If you are running a Macintosh system, however, there is also an option available to you. This is the Apple Backup software. This software should be included with whatever operating system you're running. That way, you can easily make a backup of all the important data on your computer. With an Apple computer, you can back up your information without waiting to get CDs! Apple offers an online backup service called iDisk. The iDisk service allows you to backup up to 100MB of data online! You can also set your iDisk to synchronize between your computer and the online backup – so that you have the most current versions of all your files.

If you don't like the software that comes with your computer, there are also free software programs that will come with any external hard drives you purchase. These backup programs are generally designed to do only one thing, however. With just a few quick mouse button clicks, you should be able to put all of your computer data onto the external drive.

Make this job easy and save your data! Use some backup software and save yourself a lot of grief and personal time.

The Importance Of Trojan Horse Removal

There was a time when no one thought of a Trojan as anything other than a person or perhaps a condom. Today, there are viruses and such all over the place that most people dread. Most anti virus software can pick up on most of the viruses that show up on your computer, but there are some tricky ones that you have to remove by yourself. Some are somewhere in between, and you may have to find a Trojan horse removal tool to help you get rid of a particularly nasty pest.

A few years ago we got a very nasty virus right after we switched from dial up to DSL Internet service. We ran our anti virus a few times and it would not, or rather could not get if off of our system. My husband had to go online to find out how to do this particular tricky Trojan horse removal. It took him two hours to do it, but he finally got it off of our computer. Just when he finished up we got a call from a friend of ours. She had the same problem. Once she heard that he was able to do Trojan horse removal on our computer she asked if he would please come fix hers.

It got even better after that. That friend got a call from her mother, and she was in need of someone to help her with her computer as well. By the time the weekend was over, my husband had done Trojan horse removal on six different computers, and they were all the same Trojan. I told him that he was nuts for doing this, and that he should have charge for each Trojan horse removal he did that weekend. I was kidding with him, of course, as it was very nice of him to spend almost his whole weekend helping others out.

My husband is not a computer expert by any means. He is not a pro at Trojan horse removal, nor has he had to do it very many times. He is very good at following directions though, and that is why he was so successful with that particular Trojan. If you have a problem where you simply cannot get something off of your system with your anti virus software, you may have to look online for Trojan horse removal instructions. Just make sure you take your time and do each step exactly as described and you should have no problems with getting the nasty stuff off of your system.

Selling Revolution

Having recently earned my admission into the Sons of the American Revolution, and thus having a genetic predisposition for radical change, I have to temper myself whenever I see signs of subversion afoot. The technology industry never sees a week pass without InfoWorld or eWeek breathlessly proclaiming a new technology that will alter the fundament of IT. And in most instances we are wrong.

So when I started to see bubbles about Linux desktops finally gaining traction, I gathered many grains of salt. Desktop Linux demand has been predicted as often as Ted Kennedy's sobriety, and with as many proofs of such.

But in the last two weeks we have seen Dell, HP and Novell all utter words of growing demand. As languid as these may have seen, we must pay attention to when two of the biggest box vendors, and the Linux desktop distro king all make moves.

Dell admitted to certifying Novell's desktop Linux for their machinery. Their decision to proceed was based on "overwhelming" demand expressed by their customers on the Dell IdeaStorm web site. The IdeaStorm site is an example of smart inbound technology marketing. By soliciting ideas, and having the wisdom of crowds prioritize these suggestions, Dell is actively and automatically discovering where untapped market opportunities lay. They are also discovering technology buying trends in their earliest phase, and thus will outmaneuver their competitors.

Hewlett Packard has evidently identified the same latent Linux desktop demand, anticipating a critical mass in the near future. Though not yet committing to (again) preloading desktops with Linux, HP has witnessed a surge in buzz over the last six months. They sense demand overseas — primarily in Asia where one client ordered 30,000 Linux loaded laptops — but in all likelihood this will cause such systems to leak into the North American market. They also note that most of the demand is arising from enterprises, which makes sense as the potential for IT cost savings is greatest there. For now they are dancing Dell's dance, and certifying various machines to run Linux desktops.

Novell, who has a deeply vested interest in promoting Linux on the desktop, announced that they are re-raising the Thin Client banner ( Oh no! Not again. Will this beast not die? ). Novell (and SuSE before them) had well honed tools for creating custom bootable Linux images and automating network server deployment. This has been applied to the desktop, and opens a new opportunities for enterprises that Windows-based thin clients could not. Specifically enterprises can now whittle a desktop down to the essential software required by employees and at per-set price points that give Bill Gates night shivers.

Desktop Armageddon is not yet upon us, but one can't help but believe the winds of change are blowing.

Convert Windows XP to Vista

Now that the windows vista has been launched finally and is being seen more and more in the computer peripherals around you, what should the envious ones whose systems are still in the archive era of 256 MB RAM with no graphics card on board do?

Of course make their XP at least look like VISTA, and here is a reliable way on how to go about it.

The vista transformation pack 6 is a highly reliable conversion tool that makes your XP into something like VISTA and yes it converts your xp to something that's not VISTA nor XP. You'll be left somewhere in the middle, with a cool new look and cool gadgets like a sidebar that offers a wonderful collection of utilities. To top it up, install the TOPDESK utility and the transformation is complete. The TOPDESK gives the aero effect, the much proclaimed ALT+TAB effect, again the xp way. Don't expect the perfection of the real thing, but this as close as you can get.

So why should you be weary?

The creators say it does not contain any spyware or an adware, but they do say that they will not be taking any responsibility for anything gone wrong whatsoever. You must be aware that the utility enhances looks by drawing on the system resources and tweaks your system files to a level that can create system instability. It could crash, so backup your precious data on your system drive. AND there's no uninstall. If the system crashes you grotto reinstall. You forgot to back data? Try using a Linux live cd and move as much as possible to other drives from your system drive.

We tested the transformation pack on 3 systems and none have crashed and all have worked flawlessly until now, on a dual core 2 GB RAM laptop, on a 512 MB RAM desktop and on a 256 MB RAM desktop with shared video memory.

So if your system comes in this category, then go ahead get that new looks and hey it doesn't cost you anything ,except may be some unused computing power , its free and open and they do provide full and free updates.
